This notice explains how Kachingo collects, uses, shares, and safeguards personal information when you visit our website or hold an account with us. Kachingo acts as data controller under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Information we collect
When you register, we ask for your full name, date of birth, residential address, email address, mobile number, and a username. This identity set is not optional: our UK Gambling Commission licence requires us to verify that every customer is over 18 and resident where they claim to be.
Financial information includes payment method details, deposit and withdrawal history, and source-of-funds evidence where enhanced due diligence applies. Card numbers are tokenised by our payment processors, and Kachingo staff never see a full card number.
Gameplay records cover stakes, game titles, session timestamps, bonus participation, and account balance movements. These are retained as transaction records and are also what allows us to answer a query about a specific spin months after it happened.
Technical information is captured automatically: IP address, device type, browser version, operating system, and referring page. We also record interactions with our support team, including chat transcripts and recorded telephone calls.
Why we process it and our lawful basis
Contractual necessity covers everything required to run your account — processing deposits, settling bets, paying withdrawals, and resolving disputes. Without this data there is no account to operate.
Legal obligation covers age verification, anti-money-laundering checks under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, sanctions screening, and the regulatory reporting Kachingo must file with the Gambling Commission and HMRC. These obligations override a deletion request while they remain live.
Legitimate interests cover fraud prevention, platform security, bonus-abuse detection, and aggregate analysis of which games and features customers use. We balance these against your rights and document that assessment internally.
Consent applies only to direct marketing. You choose your channels at sign-up, you can change them from the Communications tab at any time, and withdrawing consent has no effect on your ability to play or withdraw.
Who we share information with
Game studios supplying content to Kachingo receive the minimum data needed to run a session — typically a pseudonymised player token, stake, and currency. They do not receive your name, address, or payment details.
Payment providers, identity verification bureaux, and credit reference agencies receive identity data to complete their checks. A verification search of this kind is a soft footprint and does not affect your credit rating.
We disclose information to the UK Gambling Commission, HMRC, the National Crime Agency, and law enforcement where we are legally compelled to do so. In some circumstances the law prohibits us from telling you that such a disclosure has been made.
We do not sell personal data to third parties, and we do not pass customer lists to affiliate partners. Where a supplier processes data outside the UK, transfers are covered by adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum.
Retention, security, and your rights
Account and transaction records are kept for five years after your relationship with Kachingo ends, which reflects anti-money-laundering requirements. Self-exclusion records are retained for longer so that an exclusion cannot be defeated by re-registering.
Data in transit is protected by TLS encryption; data at rest sits in access-controlled environments with segregated permissions and logged administrative access. We test these controls through independent penetration testing and internal audit.
You have the right to request a copy of your data, to correct inaccuracies, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, to restrict processing while a dispute is examined, and to receive your data in a portable format. We respond within one calendar month.
If you are dissatisfied with how Kachingo has handled your information, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would ask that you raise it with our Data Protection Officer first so we have the chance to resolve it.
Cookies and tracking technologies
Strictly necessary cookies keep you logged in, remember your currency, and protect against cross-site request forgery. These cannot be switched off because the site will not function without them.
Analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you accept them in the consent banner. You can revisit that choice from the footer link at any point, and rejecting them does not degrade gameplay.
Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so may require you to re-enter details more often and may prevent some Kachingo promotional offers from displaying correctly.
